Common use

Diclofenac SR tablet is pain reliever. it is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and acute musculoskeletal injuries, as well as discomfort, edoema, stiffness, and joint soreness. Back discomfort, shoulder pain, neck pain, sprains, and spasms are all popular uses.

Dosage and direction

Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and duration of this medicine. Take it all in at once. It should not be chewed, crushed, or broken. Diclofenac SR tablet should be consumed after a meal.

Precautions

Diclofenac SR is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Inform your doctor about your personal or family history of heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, smoking habits, and any prior or existing conditions like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes.

Contraindications

Diclofenac SR is contraindicated if you had a recent heart attack, have stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver or kidney disease and in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

Drug interaction

Inform your doctor if you are taking painkillers like nimesulide, oxyphenbutazone, or metamizole, anti-blood clotting agents such as warfarin, blood pressure-lowering agents like hydrochlorothiazide, or medications for mania like lithium, as Diclofenac SR may interact with them.

Missed dose

If a dose is missed, it should be taken if there is a considerable time gap until the subsequent scheduled dose. However, if the time is close to the next dose, adhering to the routine dosing schedule is advisable.

Overdose

Overdose of Diclofenac SR causes nausea and vomiting, stomach pain, bloody, black or tarry stools, vomiting of a substance that is bloody or looks like coffee grounds, drowsiness, slow, shallow, or irregular breathing, and loss of consciousness. Inform your doctor regarding these effects and follow the advice accordingly.

Storage

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children.
